The competition will take place from 13th to 17th November 2025, and will be a single-round event.*

The competition is divided into two main groups: A (five categories) and B (two categories). Group A includes students from private lessons and elementary art schools, while Group B includes students from music grammar schools, conservatoires, and music academies.

The participant's age on 13th November 2025 will determine their category placement.

Only original compositions for four hands or two pianos, or their authorised versions, may be performed in the competition. The jury has the right to request sheet music for lesser-known pieces before the start of the competition round.

Younger categories may choose the mandatory piece from a higher category. Younger participants may compete in an older category.

Memorisation is not required. Turning pages is not allowed by another person. The positioning of the pianos facing each other is fixed.

The jury reserves the right to interrupt a performance if the time limit is exceeded.

The international jury will decide on the awarding of prizes, special prizes (Special Prize for the performance of a composition by Vlastimil Lejsek, Special Prize for performing a classical work, Audience Prize, Prize for the best Czech duo), and honorary mentions. The jury’s decision is final.

The ceremonial announcement of winners and award presentation will take place at the end of each competition day.
*13th November - opening concert, 14th-17th November - competition days (length of the competition depending on the number of participants), 17th November - laureates concert.
